About this tool

Use proposals or renewal terms you already have to understand what each price includes. Keep missing details visible and prepare a focused conversation about the policy wording.

This tool organizes self-reported information. It does not obtain live quotes, rank insurers or determine which policy is suitable.

How to Use This Tool

Choose proposals for the same insurance need and describe any differences in covered business activities or package contents.

1

Enter the quoted amounts

Choose a commercial insurance topic and enter two or three proposals in USD. Identify whether each amount is the full policy-term premium or only an installment or down payment.

2

Add fees, dates and policy details

Record full-term taxes and fees, effective and expiration dates, limits, deductibles or retentions, exclusions and endorsements. Use the actual terms; unknown details can remain blank.

3

Review the differences and questions

A full-term total appears only when its premium and fee basis are stated. Matching price fields and dates do not establish equivalent coverage. Take outstanding questions to a licensed professional.

4

Print or continue to a quote request

Keep the worksheet for your provider conversations. If you want to request quotes, review the included summary and then enter your business and contact information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the comparison tool find the cheapest or best policy?

No. It displays the details you enter without ranking insurers or selecting a winner. A lower quoted price may reflect different limits, covered activities, exclusions, conditions or service.

Can I compare monthly payments with annual premiums?

Record the amount and its actual basis. The tool never multiplies one installment or down payment into an annual premium. Ask for the complete policy-term premium and total taxes and fees before comparing totals.

What happens if a fee or policy detail is missing?

Missing information remains unknown. Blank fees are not treated as zero, and an incomplete price basis does not produce a full-term total. The worksheet lists questions to resolve with the provider.

Which policy terms should I compare besides price?

Use the actual proposal to compare covered activities, limits and sublimits, deductibles or retentions, defense costs, exclusions, endorsements and effective dates. For claims-made terms, ask about prior acts, the retroactive date and reporting conditions.

Do I need to upload documents or enter my email?

No. Enter short notes from your proposals; leave out policy numbers and personal information. View and print the comparison without contact details, or choose to include the worksheet in a quote request.
